APPOINTMENT UPDATE (from 1 October 2020):
Monday to Friday:
Mixed Billing Policy applies to both face to face consultations and PHONE consultations.
Phone Consultations are $60.
We bulk bill children 15 years and under, concession card holders and DVA card holders).
Please note, if you are coming to our practice for an appointment, we are limiting the number of patients in our waiting room at any one time. We appreciate if only the patient is to come to the practice (or one parent with child or one carer with patient if needed) to limit the amount of people in our practice at any one time.

BetterConsult is here 

We’re excited to announce that the doctors at our practice now use BetterConsult to help you get the most out of your appointment.

BetterConsult is a “smart” pre-consultation questionnaire that asks the questions your doctor usually asks about the reason for your visit. It then prepares a summary for your doctor.

What does this mean for you?

By knowing this information at the start of your appointment, your doctor can spend more of your time focussed on addressing your healthcare needs.

Filling out BetterConsult prior to your appointment also helps you think through what you would like to address with your doctor.

How does it work?

You will receive an SMS from our practice the day before your appointment (or immediately if your appointment is within 24 hours of booking) with a link to your pre-consultation questionnaire.

When you receive the SMS, simply

  1. Click the secure link in the SMS

  2. Register or login to your free BetterConsult account

  3. Complete the BetterConsult questionnaire

The Government has announced that from 13 March to 30 September 2020, GPs are able to provide bulk billed Telehealth consultations to all patients with a Medicare card.

All appointments at our practice need be made as a Telehealth consultation initially. The doctor will decide if a face to face appointment is required after your Telehealth consultation.

Did you know that we can also complete your GP Management Plan, Care Plan or Mental Health Plan via a Telehealth consultation?

You can book your Telehealth consultation by phoning the practice or by booking online.

I feel sick, or someone I care for feels sick. What do I do?

You, or the person you’re caring for, should stay home. Don’t go to work or school. This is important to stop the spread of any illness. Get plenty of rest and drink lots of water.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: If you have travelled overseas in the past 14 days and you have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or breathlessness, OR had recent close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19, please do not make an appointment at our practice.

Instead, if you are a regular patient of our practice, you can phone us to book a bulk billed telephone consult with your regular GP (further conditions apply) OR you can attend the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic (at Caloundra Hospital) which is now solely a Fever Clinic for Covid-19 screening.

**Testing for Covid-19 is only available to those people who have been overseas in the past 14 days and have fever or respiratory symptoms OR had recent close contact (previous 14 days) with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

**Patients who present with cold and flu-like symptoms, who do not meet the above criteria, will NOT be tested for COVID-19.
